New Groundworks Package
Crimscote Construction are delighted to be working alongside Spectrum Building (specialist projects) Ltd and Wychaven District Council on the groundworks package to construct the new Café Kiosk within Abbey Park, Evesham.
The existing building has been in place since 1997 when it was converted from a former bowls club pavilion, with new plans established to re-develop the building to its former glory. The exterior wood cladding and timber grains have been carefully chosen to ensure they are sustainable.
Crimscote construction have broken ground, and are completing the comprehensive groundworks package to enable the newly proposed timber structure to sit proudly in an elevated position above the park.
Our team are currently on site and completing the groundworks package which includes all foundations, concrete ring beam, reinforced concrete structures, drainage, and trench work to facilitate the utilities such as gas and electric, as well as initial landscaping. Crimscote have strict and accurate dimensions to work with off plan to ensure the timber frame structure arrives from overseas enabling the building to sit directly onto the substructure block and beam floor.
We are working hard with planners to ensure the new building compliments the existing park for the local community to enjoy during the summer months. A wildflower meadow is well into the planning phase to ensure the kiosk blends seamlessly into the Worcestershire backdrop and river Avon.
Work for this newly proposed development is anticipated to take approximately a month to complete for Crimscote, with the larger programme requirements to completion anticipated to take a further 4 weeks. The quicker we get it done, the quicker we can all sit back and have a coffee, admiring not only the beautiful parkland, but also our unique craftsmanship!!
